Whether you want to swim, fish, canoe, or enjoy a picnic by the river – it’s always close by. The river rises near Lac de Servières and flows for around 150 km before joining the Allier, near Saint-Pourçain-sur-Sioule. 🌋 Volcanic landscape – Parc des Volcans d’Auvergne Just a short distance away lies the impressive Parc Naturel Régional des Volcans d’Auvergne. These ancient volcanoes form a unique and protected natural area with rolling hills, crater lakes, lava domes, and breathtaking views. Hike or cycle for hours, or simply enjoy the wide vistas. Each season brings its own charm: blooming fields in spring, peaceful silence in autumn, and clear starry skies all year round. 🏡 Châteauneuf-les-Bains – small, charming and welcoming Châteauneuf-les-Bains is a small, picturesque spa village with a rich history. Its thermal baths have been known for their healing properties since Roman times. In the village you’ll find a restaurant and a café, and just 10 km away – in Saint-Gervais-d’Auvergne – there’s a bakery, a small supermarket, a post office, a local market, and a cheese shop. 💧 Wellness and relaxation For ultimate relaxation, visit the local thermes offering massages, warm baths, and wellness treatments. The mineral-rich hot springs have been renowned for centuries. Every year, from April to October, many people with rheumatism come here for a three-week healing cure at the Thermes, specially designed to support recovery and relief.
